We Interrupt This Program Number 2
A Cover Reveal
Hello everybody! I hope you all enjoyed this month’s episode of In Sunlight and Frost. I have another commercial/ announcement for a project I am helping promote. Currently, I am a member of the street team for a poetry anthology entitled As The Frost Melts. I’m a little late on getting this cover reveal released but hope you all enjoy it all the same.
A friend of mine by the name of Beatrice Sanders, a young writer from Tennessee, is the one who asked me to help with the promotional efforts. Beatrice is part of a wonderful program called the Young Writers Workshop, an organization founded by Brett Harris of Do Hard Things Fame to teach young writers the skills they need to get published. (If you have not heard of Brett Harris, seriously check him out and the work he is doing on behalf of the next generation of writers.) She and some of the other girls from YWW starting putting this anthology back together in May, and it is now almost ready for publication. I am beyond proud of Beatrice and the other young ladies involved in this collection and can’t wait to show the cover of the collection further down in the post.
The collection is inspired by the four seasons and consists of nearly 100 poems divided into four sections, one for each season. There are twelve poets who have poured their hearts and souls into this work. The cover alone is a work of art. I can say with confidence that Elizabeth Anne Hale’s expressive and original cover ought to be framed in a museum.
Isn’t it wonderful? It definitely captures the theme of the changing seasons, contrasting the new growth of spring with the icy grip of winter. Definitely let me know what you think of this cover in the comments.
I will be posting more about this collection in the future when I get more details. In the meantime, if anyone in your life is looking for a poetry collection by a bunch of really talented young people, you would do us all a favor by spreading the word.
Next month, Lord willing, I should be back with more news, and a new episode of In Sunlight and Frost. This next episode will see Fabrizio still struggling with whether to reveal the truth to Anya, and we will also get to glimpse the intrigue back home in the Maritime Republics post-war which will threaten to ensnare our hero.
God Bless.
